Mengenai type makanan yang perlu dijauhi yaitu : Makanan yang digoreng maupun fast food, daging merah, keju, butter serta mentega, roti, kue, serta permen.
9 Ketentuan umum dalam diet Mind, diantaranya :
1. Minimum konsumsi gandum utuh sejumlah tiga kali sehari-harinya. 2. Mengkonsumsi salad sehari-hari. 3. Mengkonsumsi sayur yang tidak sama sehari-harinya. 4. Minum satu gelas anggur sehari-hari. 5. Ngemil kacang-kacangan sehari-hari. 6. Mengkonsumsi biji-bijian sekurang-kurangnya 2 hari sekali. 7. Mengkonsumsi ayam atau ungags sekurang-kurangnya 2 x dalam satu minggu. 8. Mengkonsumsi ikan sekurang-kurangnya satu minggu sekali. 9. Mengkonsumsi makanan yg tidak sehat masihlah diijinkan, dengan catatan10. Optimal cuma satu kali satu minggu, terkecuali butter. Untuk butter, optimal 1 sendok teh sehari-hari masihlah bisa dalam program diet ini.
